How to Setup Google Adsense Ads on WordPress Website

Google Adsense  is the best ad publisher for blogger to earn money from ads. It is the easiest way to earn money from your website. But when we are heading to placement of Google Adsense’s ads, some trouble will occur to set up. At the very first stage of begin I had also a problem with ad placement and I am sure this will also happen to beginner bloggers. So I want to share something about google ads set up in website that what I learn. In this article I am going to share some idea about how to setup google ads on your WordPress website. Note: To set up google ad code in your website, you must have approval Google Adsense. Once you have, you are now able to setup adverts to fit in with your blog.There are two different ways to setup google ads on your website.

Follow the procedure to place ads for two different ways which is given below

1) Get Ad code and place on your website

In this step we are going to place ads on our website in various positions just like Leaderboard, Sidebar & Post. There is a different way to place ads on each position. So I am going to describe step by step for each potion.

• For Leaderboard

This type of ad placement is for website Header Banner. Header Banner is located on top of the website and this is the one of the best place of Ad placement

→ Go to your Adsense account and click on “My Ads” option which is located on top of the bar.

→ Now click on “New ad unit” button.

→ Name the ad, chose size 728 x 90 and click on “Save and get code”.

→ Copy the ad code.

→ Now you have to go in your website’s Dashboard.

→ Click on “Appearance” and select “Widgets”.

→ Find out “Text” widgets and click on it.

→ Select “Header Banner” and click on “Add Widget” this will appear in Header Banner widget

→ Paste the Ad code and save it

• For Sidebar

This type of ad placement is for the website Side bar. Side Bar is located on the right or left side of the website and this is the one of the best place of Ad placement.

→ Go to your Adsense account and click on “My Ads” option which is located on top of the bar.

→ Now click on “New ad unit” button.

→ Name the ad, chose size 300 x 250 and click on “Save and get code”.

→ Copy the ad code.

→ Now you have to go in your website’s Dashboard.

→ Click on “Appearance” and select “Widgets”.

→ Find out “Text” widgets and click on it.

→ Select “Sidebar” and click on “Add Widget” this will appear in Header Banner widget

→ Paste the Ad code and save it.

• For Post

This type of ad placement for website’s post and pages. After doing this process ad will appear on your post. Well, this is a different and a little bit harder Procedure then previous one (Leaderboard & Sidebar). We need to add Ad code in Single Post (single.php) after getting ad Code from Adsense.

→ Go to your Adsense account and click on “My Ads” option which is located on top of the bar.

→ Now click on “New ad unit” button.

→ Name the ad, choose suitable size and click on “Save and get code”.

→ Copy the ad code.

→ Now you have to go in your website’s Dashboard.

→ Click on “Appearance” and select “Editor”.

→ Click on Single Post (single.php) which is located on the right side of the bar.

→ Now you are in the most important part of the procedure so calm down and follow the step by step procedure.

→ Find out “<div id=”content_box” >” code which is just before “<?php if ( have_posts() ) while ( have_posts() ) : the_post(); ?>” code.

→ Paste the Google Ad code After “<div id=”content_box” >” code and update the file.

→ After doing this, Ad will appear on top of the post. If you want to change the position of Ads then you can place the Ad code in any area between

“<article class=”article”>
<div id=”content_box” ><div id=”content_box” >”

And

“</div>
</article>”

For eg: If you want to see Google Ad in your bottom of the post, then place Ad code in the end of the code
( Before
</div>
</article> ).

Note:
• Do not place more than three Google Ads on your website, if you do it beyond the Google privacy policies.

• If you want to quick change in your setup you need to delete cache files.

 

2) Install the plugin and place ads by verifying account

Google lunched an official WordPress plugin for WordPress user named “Google publisher plugin”. This plugin is the best idea for place Google ads on your blog or website. Well, you need to normal Adsense Account to use this plugin and it won’t work for Hosted Adsense Account.

→ First of all go to your WordPress dashboard and select Plugins and click on Add New.

→ Search “Google publisher plugin” in search box and install it, Active it.

→ After activation the plugin you need to verify your Adsense account with this plugin.

→ Click on Manage ads and it will automatically detected and suggest to you where is the perfect ads place. If you had already run Ads on your site, please remove it first.

→ This is the best plugin for Ads manager and the best thing about it is you don’t need to edit or add any HTML code for Google Ads.
